NEW PATIENTS

Register at Ideal Dental

To register as a new patient, the process is simple.

We ask that you provide us with your contact details and date-of-birth, which we guarantee to be kept confidential and secure at all times. We can then find a time and day suitable for your first consultation with one of our friendly practitioners.

Sign up here

Fill in the form below and we will contact you to confirm your details and initial appointment.

Please note, your initial appointment is not confirmed until a member of our team has contacted you.

What happens at my initial visit?

At your initial visit, a member of our team will ask you to complete a medical history form and short questionnaire all about you, to give us a full picture of your overall health and what you’d like to change or maintain with your smile.

Relax in comfortable surroundings and ask our reception team about any offers or treatments we may have while you wait. The clinical team will then escort you to one of our modern, clean and bright surgeries.

We are here to listen

After an introduction to the team, you will be invited to discuss what you’d like to change or maintain about your smile. We encourage you to discuss expectations of what you would like at this point and/or voice any complaints you may be experiencing with pain or discomfort.

Then, we will then carry out a full assessment of your teeth, gums, soft and hard tissues (inside and outside of the mouth) as well as gathering information about your smoking and/or drinking habits. This is a very painless procedure, but if you are nervous, we are happy to take our time and go at a pace comfortable for you. We will screen your teeth and gums and add these details to your file to give us some baseline measurements of your dental health as it is now.

It’s the tiny details

Your dentist or dental care professional may then want to take some routine x-rays (radio-graphs) of your teeth to aid diagnosis and give a full picture of what is happening in areas they can’t see.

We will review those radio-graphs and you be fully informed of the results.

Bespoke treatment plans

From here-on, the team will discuss your treatment plan with you, ensuring you are happy with it, and answer any questions you may have about it. We will then give you time to decide if you would like to proceed, sometimes you may want to go away and think about it, or discuss your options with your friends or family.

Just let us know, and if you’re happy, we will then make further appointments to start your smile journey.
