Terms and Conditions - Members Discount Club

This Agreements relates to the Ideal Discount Club Membership Scheme – a hard copy is available on request

Terms and Conditions – 

  1. The Patient will pay Ideal Dental Care a monthly fee determined by the plan chosen. Payments will be made on 1st day of each month.
  1. In consideration of the payment by the Patient of the monthly fee, the practice agrees to provide the dental services described below:-
  • Two routine dental examinations per year
  • Oral Health Advice
  • Two simple Scale and Polishes per year (these are not for the treatment of periodontal disease) – adult members only
  • Two small intra oral dental radiographs per year (if clinically necessary) – adult members only
  • Discount off clinically necessary treatment
  • A&E Dental Emergency Insurance provided by Lloyd & Whyte Ltd
  1. The following treatment is excluded from the agreement:
  • Orthodontic treatment
  • Cosmetic dental and facial treatment
  • Dental implants
  • Necessary medicines and drugs for home use
  • General anaesthesia, IV sedation, hypnosis, inhalation sedation
  • Oral hygiene products and aids
  • Treatment provided on referral to another dentist/specialist
  1. Patients who are members of the Club have access to Accident & Emergency Insurance policy provided by Lloyd and Whyte* – see policy summary for more details.

*The Accident & Emergency Insurance is arranged through Lloyd & Whyte Ltd, who are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority

  1. The Patient may terminate this agreement by giving at least 2 months’ notice in writing to the practice. Ideal Dental Care may terminate this agreement by giving at least 2 months’ written notice unless the patient has embarked on a course of treatment which will take more than one month to complete, in which case the agreement will terminate on completion of the treatment.
  1. The monthly fees will be reviewed annually. The Patient will be informed on or before 1 February each year of the charges which will apply from the following 1 April.
  1. In the event of the monthly fee being unpaid for one month after it has become due, Ideal Dental Care may terminate the agreement by giving one months’ written notice to the Patient. The Patient will be liable for all sums due to the Practice under this agreement until the date the agreement terminates that is two months after the payment was due. If the Patient then wishes to re-join, a fee of £25.00 will be charged to cover administration fees.
  1. The fee will be payable to the Dental Practice by monthly direct debit. The monthly fee will continue to be payable until the agreement is terminated under Clause 5 or 7.
  1. The patient will attend the practice at a mutually agreeable time/date for treatment/examination purposes. If the Patient fails to attend an appointment or fails to give 24 hours’ notice for cancellation, this appointment will count as [one of the two] examination/treatment appointments available under the scheme. If the Patient fails the second appointment as well as the first, the Practice may terminate the agreement under Clause 5 or 7.
  1. This agreement is personal to the Dental Practice and the dentists practicing there. Benefits cannot be transferred to treatment provided by any dental practitioner or at any other practice.
  1. Any disputes arising under this agreement, if they cannot be settled through the Practice complaints procedure, will be settled by arbitration.
  1. All written notice should be sent by recorded delivery post or email to the last known address of the Practice or Patient.
  1. Date of commencement of the Agreement is on first payment of direct debit

Covid-19 and Dental Services

We are committed to protecting our staff and patients, and continue to maintain our high standards of Infection Control within the practice.

If you have any symptoms of a respiratory infection or feel unwell for any reason, please do inform a member of our team and we can manage your appointment accordingly.

Facemasks are no longer mandatory in communal areas, such as waiting rooms and receptions, but you can opt to wear one if you choose to.
