Tooth decay

Foods and drinks that are high in sugars are the cause of tooth decay. When you eat these foods the bacteria break down the sugars to make acid. Acid combined with bacteria, food particles and saliva forms a sticky substance called plaque which covers your teeth.

Over time the plaque will weaken the surface your tooth making it more prone to further attack. Eventually the tooth will become so weak that it crumbles.

It is therefore extremely important to limit the amount of sugary or starchy foods or drinks in your diet. Also brushing at least twice a day with Flouride toothpaste should 犀利士 .cc/”>日本藤素 help prevent tooth decay

Christmas Opening Times & Emergency Arrangements

We are closed from 24th December at 11pm until Friday 2nd January and will re-open at 8.00am.

If you have a dental emergency that cannot wait until our return, we will be holding emergency clinics at our Fleetwood practice (188 Dock Street, Fleetwood, Lancashire, FY7 6LT) on the following days:-

29th December from 10am – 12noon

30th December from 10am – 12noon 

31st December from 10am – 12noon
